Trusts are asked to set up a series of fictional patients within their live or test EP environment and complete a structured set of prescribing risk scenarios designed to challenge system safeguards. The tool also includes targeted questions on core safety configuration. Results are generated in real time through an actionable report, supported by visual outputs, to guide optimisation for both established users and new system implementers.
ePRaSE includes the ability to assess multiple different inpatient EP systems, and has a dedicated paediatric-prescribing safety module.
Who can use ePRaSE?
- Acute, community, and mental health NHS trusts using or implementing electronic prescribing.
- Access requires an NHS email address and HSCN connectivity (England or dedicated link for devolved nations).
- Up to four users per trust can register to complete or view the assessment.
The ePRaSE application is compatible with all modern web browsers.
